Average Calculator
Calculate mean, median, sum, count, minimum and maximum from a number list. Paste spreadsheet values and choose the result’s decimal places.
Start using
The arithmetic mean is the sum divided by the count. The median is the middle sorted value, or the average of the two middle values for an even count. For 1 2 2 7, the mean is 3, median 2, sum 12, count 4, minimum 1 and maximum 7. The dashboard shows mean, sum, count and extremes; the median appears in the detailed result. Every pasted value counts equally: this is not a weighted mean. Display rounding does not change the observations.
Enter only finite decimal numbers or scientific notation, separated by whitespace or semicolons. Use the page’s local decimal separator; avoid comma-only lists where commas mean decimals. Any invalid token or nonfinite value rejects the whole calculation. Limits: 1000000 input characters and 100000 observations. Values are parsed as IEEE 754 numbers; their sum must be finite. A nonzero result that would round to 0 at the selected precision uses scientific notation instead.
Calculate the mean, sum, median and count of a number list. Choose 0–12 decimal places; duplicates count separately.
1; 2; 2; 7 → (1 + 2 + 2 + 7) / 4 = 3
