Worked example without recognized headers: with Day/Month/Year selected, 01/02/2023 Shop -50.00 1250.00 becomes Date = 2023-02-01, Amount = -50.00 and Balance = 1250.00. It does not automatically become a debit. MDY/DMY mode validates complete numeric Gregorian dates and stops on a date that does not exist or conflicts with the selected order. Keep preserves the original text. Review every date, sign and balance against the original before use.
