Gregorian and Lunar Calendar

The calendar has 42 cells and Monday-first weekdays. The year selector covers the current year plus or minus 100 years; arrows stop at its limits. On 2026-08-17, the Chinese calendar date is month 7, day 5. Lunar conversion uses the browser’s Intl Chinese calendar, not a local national lunar calendar.

Solar-term dates use Hong Kong Observatory tables for 1901–2100; they are dates, not exact transition times, and are unavailable outside that range. Cycle-month boundaries remain fixed-date approximations. The displayed seven-day block counts January 1–7 as block 1; it is not an ISO week number.

Observances are a partial selection from China and the US plus Western Easter, not an official leave calendar. Coinciding events show one label; no auspicious or inauspicious activity advice is generated.

2023-03-22 → leap 2 / 1
leap month ≠ ordinary month
2026-08-17 → lunar 7 / 5
42 = 6 × 7

Solar term dates use China Standard Time (UTC+8). Only Gregorian dates are shown, without transition times.

The names describe the traditional Chinese seasonal cycle, not a local weather forecast. If a decision requires the transition hour or minute, consult an authoritative astronomical calendar. For dates far in the future, a solar term close to midnight may differ by one day, as the Hong Kong Observatory notes. Treat those dates as references rather than a guarantee of the exact transition date.
