Folder Structure Generator

Build an empty multi-level folder structure from safe relative paths and download it as an archive. Processing takes place locally in your browser.

Start using

Folder Structure Generator

Enter one relative folder path per line, such as src and assets/icons. The browser creates a folders.zip download containing an empty ZIP directory entry for each path; it cannot directly create folders on the user's disk.

Backslashes are normalized to forward slashes. Absolute paths, drive-letter paths, dot or dot-dot segments, empty path segments, null characters and duplicate normalized paths are rejected to prevent unsafe archive names.

The list is limited to 16777216 UTF-16 code units of text, 500 entries and a UTF-8 encoded path length below the ZIP filename limit. For src and assets/icons, the archive entries are src/ and assets/icons/.

The generated ZIP uses stored entries without compression and UTF-8 path flags. Every directory is empty; no placeholder file, permissions, timestamps, symbolic links or operating-system metadata are added.

Processing is local and only prepares a downloadable archive. The extraction application decides where the directories are created, and users should still inspect archive paths before extraction.

Blank lines are ignored and each line is trimmed. Duplicate normalized paths stop the whole generation; they are not silently removed. Enter src rather than src/: a trailing slash is rejected. src and src/assets are allowed together. A path before the appended directory slash is limited to 65534 UTF-8 bytes. Names such as .hidden are allowed. ZIP checks do not validate every target operating system’s filename rules; inspect compatibility before extraction. No source permissions or timestamps are preserved.
