What this tool actually does

Creates one static QR code from entered text or a URL using the QR library bundled with this site and lets the rendered canvas download as PNG.

Checkable behavior

Input is required and limited to 2,048 UTF-16 code units. Image size must be a whole number from 120 through 1,000 pixels.

Controls, output and limitations

Exact QR capacity depends on text encoding and the selected error-correction level, so a long value can exceed QR capacity even below the page limit.

The tool does not open or validate URLs, test for malicious destinations, add tracking, shorten links or host an editable redirect.

Generation stays in the browser. Scan the final PNG with an independent device and test at the intended print size before publishing or manufacturing.

The PNG includes a white border at least four QR modules wide on every side. Modules use whole pixels within your chosen image size. If the content cannot fit with that border, increase the size or shorten the text and generate again. A successful download does not guarantee scanning at every display or print size.
