File Splitter
Split a local file into fixed-size chunks and download each part. Processing takes place locally in your browser.
Start using
File Splitter
Choose one local file, enter a positive chunk size in KiB or MiB and create consecutive Blob slices. The source bytes are not decoded or changed.
A 10 MiB file split into 3 MiB chunks produces four downloads: three 3 MiB parts and one 1 MiB part. Names append part numbers and the total, with enough zero padding to preserve order.
The selected size must resolve to a positive whole number of bytes and the result is limited to 500 chunks. Increase the chunk size if the proposed split would exceed that limit.
Processing and downloads stay in the browser. The page does not compress, encrypt, upload or add a checksum, and it does not create a single archive containing all chunks.
To reconstruct the original bytes, retain every part and use the companion joiner. Missing, duplicated or reordered parts produce a different output because the splitter adds no recovery or integrity metadata.
Decimal input is multiplied by the selected unit and truncated toward zero to whole bytes. The result must be a positive safe integer; empty files and plans outside 1–500 parts are rejected. The last part can be shorter. Names follow original.bin.part1-of-4; padding depends on the number of digits in the total.
