Subset Generator
Enter up to 15 distinct text items separated by commas, spaces or line breaks. Each item may contain at most 100 UTF-16 code units. Whitespace separates items and cannot be part of one item.
The tool enumerates all 2^n subsets in binary-mask order, beginning with the empty set. Input a,b produces four lines: {}, {a}, {b} and {a, b}.
Repeated input items are rejected because a mathematical set cannot contain duplicates. Item comparison is case-sensitive and does not normalize Unicode spelling.
Before allocation, the page estimates output size and rejects requests above 1000000 UTF-16 code units. The 15-item limit may therefore be reduced in practice when item labels are long.
Output is plain text only. The page does not generate combinations of a chosen size, permutations, a random subset, downloadable files or symbolic set notation beyond braces.
