TAR Archive Creator
Package selected files and folders into an uncompressed TAR archive locally. Processing takes place locally in your browser.

The tool writes an uncompressed USTAR archive locally. Folder selection keeps the relative paths supplied by the browser; dropping files does not traverse folders. Only regular files are written, including empty files; empty folders and symbolic links are not preserved. This implementation allows at most 500 files, 64 MiB per file and 128 MiB of input in total (1 MiB = 1,048,576 bytes). Each complete relative path is limited to 100 UTF-8 bytes; duplicate or unsafe paths abort the whole operation. These are implementation limits, not universal TAR limits. Generated files have mode 0644, owner/group IDs 0 and the generation time; original filesystem permissions and timestamps are not preserved. Headers, 512-byte padding and two ending blocks make the archive larger than the payload. No compression, encryption or File System Access API is used.
