Trigonometric Function Calculator
Calculate sine, cosine, tangent and supported inverse trigonometric functions in degrees or radians with the selected angle unit made explicit.
Start using
sin, cos, tan, csc, sec, cot, asin, acos, atan, acsc, asec, acot, atan2
The input for arcsine and arccosine must be between -1 and 1. Inverse cosecant and inverse secant require |x| ≥ 1.
acot uses atan2(1, x), with a principal angle between 0 and π for finite x; atan2(y, x) uses the point’s quadrant and rejects (0, 0). tan, csc, sec and cot reject denominator magnitudes below 1e-14. Decimal places round the display, not the calculation’s error. Binary64 approximations can lose substantial angle information for very large inputs; a finite result does not establish accuracy for the original decimal angle.
