Start using

Compare eight fixed time zones

The comparison uses your device clock and the browser’s time-zone data. Each row retains its IANA identifier:

  • Asia/Shanghai
  • Asia/Tokyo
  • Europe/London
  • Europe/Paris
  • America/New_York
  • America/Los_Angeles
  • Australia/Sydney
  • Asia/Dubai

Daylight saving and date changes

Dates can differ across zones. At 2026-07-15 12:00 UTC, New York is 08:00 and Los Angeles 05:00. These differ from the winter example because both cities observe daylight saving time.

New York and Los Angeles normally differ by three hours. Their clocks change at different UTC instants, so the gap briefly becomes four hours on the 2026 spring transition and two hours on the fall transition. In contemporary 2026 rules, Paris stays one hour ahead of London because both switch at the same UTC instant.

Limits

There is no city search, custom time zone, past or future date selector, or meeting planner. The tool does not synchronize your device clock with an official time service. Incorrect device time or outdated browser time-zone data can affect the display. Date formatting follows the page language.

Why did the comparison stop changing?

The result rows are a manual snapshot. Run the comparison again to refresh them; only the separate local clock ticks automatically.
