ZIP Archive Extractor
Read one supported ZIP locally, inspect paths and sizes, and download all extracted entries together as a new ZIP.
Start using
Supports a restricted single-volume ZIP32 layout: STORE (0) or raw DEFLATE (8), UTF-8 names and sizes in the local headers. ZIP64, encryption/passwords, data descriptors, other encodings or compression methods, and self-extracting prefixes are unsupported.
The end record and central directory must be complete and correspond to all local entries. Header/data boundaries, safe relative paths, duplicate paths, declared sizes and CRC-32 are checked. A truncated or inconsistent archive is rejected as a whole; this is not partial recovery, repair or antivirus scanning.
Limits: 64 MiB selected archive, 500 entries and 128 MiB total expanded contents, including directory entries in the count. DEFLATE uses the browser’s DecompressionStream with deflate-raw and an enforced streaming output ceiling. Data remains in the browser and occupies memory; these thresholds do not promise smooth processing near the limits.
Example: owner-a.txt and owner-b.txt in the verified fixture each contain 7 bytes. Their names and contents are preserved in extracted-files.zip, written with STORE. Repackaging may change archive headers, metadata and size; it does not restore the original ZIP bytes.
