Base 2–36 Converter
Convert integers between binary, octal, decimal, hexadecimal and other supported positional number bases. Processing takes place locally in your browser.

Base 2–36 Converter
- Enter an integer, for example FF. Use 0–9 and A–Z; a leading minus sign is allowed.
- Set the source base to 16 and the target base to 10. Both bases must be integers from 2 to 36.
- Convert and check that FF becomes 255. The result also shows binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal values.
FF (16) → 255 (10) 255 (10) → FF (16) -1010 (2) → -A (16) Z (36) → 35 (10) 255 (10) = 11111111 (2) = 377 (8) = FF (16)
Limits
Conversion uses BigInt and keeps large integers exact, with a limit of 10,000 digits. Fractions, 0x prefixes, scientific notation and separators inside the number are not supported. Leading zeroes are removed. Processing stays in this browser.

The 10000-digit limit excludes a leading minus sign and outer whitespace. Enter ASCII digits 0–9 and Latin letters A–Z; lowercase is accepted. Each digit must be smaller than the source base: 2 is invalid in base 2, and F is invalid in base 10. Letters mean values 10–35. Scientific notation is not interpreted: 1E3 in base 16 is the integer 483, not 1000. The string 0X is valid digits in base 36 and equals 33; it is never treated as a hexadecimal prefix. A leading plus sign is not accepted.
Convert signed integers exactly between bases 2–36 with BigInt. Up to 10000 digits, excluding the minus sign. Swap bases: 16 ↔ 2.
FF (16) → 11111111 (2) = 255 (10)
