Three numeric controls: output width defaults to 1200, output height to 630, and blur radius to 25 px. Width and height are constrained to 1..10000 and the output is proportionally reduced when needed to stay within 24 million pixels. Blur is constrained to 0..100; zero disables background blur.

The source is first scaled to cover the entire output canvas, centered, and drawn as the blurred background. The filter is then cleared. A second sharp copy is scaled to fit completely inside the output and centered over the background. Source and output aspect ratios determine whether blurred bands appear at the sides or top and bottom.

Verified example: an 800 by 600 source in the default 1200 by 630 output gives a 1200 by 900 blurred background positioned at y=-135, then an 840 by 630 sharp foreground positioned at x=180. No source area is cut from the sharp foreground.

This creates a presentation frame for mismatched aspect ratios; it does not extend the scene with generative AI, remove the original background, add a border color or provide manual foreground positioning. A large blur can still reveal broad colors and shapes, so it is not a privacy-redaction method.

Load one image, choose the output dimensions and blur, press Generate and inspect foreground edges and background bands, then download PNG. Press Generate after control changes. Processing is browser-local; keep the source and confirm the chosen output ratio suits the destination platform.

Choose, drop or paste one image (up to 25 MiB and 24 million pixels).

Processing takes place locally in your browser.
