What this tool actually does
Batch hue rotation accepts up to 30 selected images and applies one shared Hue angle to every loaded image. The numeric control ranges from -360 to 360 degrees and defaults to 45 degrees; typed values are clamped to this range, with no per-image override or live effect preview.
Checkable behavior
The browser renders each source through the Canvas 2D hue-rotate filter using the selected degree value. Zero degrees leaves colors unchanged, positive and negative values rotate in opposite directions, and plus or minus 360 degrees completes a full turn. Alpha and dimensions stay unchanged.
Controls, output and limitations
Canvas hue-rotate uses the browser's CSS filter color matrix rather than converting each pixel to HSL and replacing its hue exactly. Saturation and perceived lightness may shift, and clipped 8-bit output cannot restore source detail. Browser rendering should therefore be judged from the generated preview.
Concrete example: set the angle to 0 degrees as a neutral check, then compare 45 and -45 degrees on a copy of the same colorful image. The two nonzero settings move the palette in opposite directions while neutral gray areas remain approximately gray; the exact RGB result follows the browser filter implementation.
Each input must have an image MIME type, be at most 25 MB and decode to no more than 24,000,000 pixels. The selected batch is capped at 100 MB and 40,000,000 decoded pixels; selecting more than 30 files rejects the entire batch.
Generate creates one browser preview per loaded image. Every result is encoded as PNG and named from the source base name plus -hue.png. Download all starts separate downloads about 180 ms apart; it does not create a ZIP, retain source format, preserve metadata or expose a color profile selector.
Processing is local in the browser. This tool rotates the complete image palette; it cannot target one color range, protect skin tones, perform white-balance correction, recolor selected objects or reproduce spot colors. Review every batch item and retain the originals.
Every Generate recalculates from the currently uploaded source, rather than adding another adjustment to the previous preview. Set the value to 0 and generate to restore the decoded source RGB.
Per image: ≤25 MiB and ≤24,000,000 pixels. Per batch: ≤100 MiB and ≤40,000,000 pixels. Selecting over 30 files or any invalid image rejects the whole batch.
The calculation clamps strength to -360–360 without rewriting the field; clearing the field uses 0, not the initial 45. Fractions are allowed.
