Online Image Gamma Adjustment Tool
Adjust midtones with gamma curve. Processing takes place locally in your browser.

What this tool actually does
Gamma numeric field ranges from 0.1 to 5 and defaults to 1.2. Formula for channel c is 255*(c/255)^(1/gamma). Values above 1 brighten middle tones; below 1 darken them. Gamma 1 is unchanged.
Checkable behavior
Pixel calculation: RGB(64,64,64) with gamma 2 becomes approximately RGB(128,128,128) after rounding. Endpoints 0 and 255 remain unchanged.
Controls, output and limitations
This is a per-channel image effect, not a monitor calibration or ICC profile conversion. It changes midtone relationships without using the brightness tool's fixed additive offset. Color channels are adjusted independently.
Single image processed locally in the browser, preview then download. Keep the source; no local-region mask or batch control on this page. Do not promise lost-detail recovery or color-profile preservation.
One source image is processed at a time, up to 25 MiB (26214400 bytes) and 24000000 pixels. PNG export saves the browser-decoded canvas, not the original encoded file: animation, EXIF and color-profile metadata may be lost or changed. Width and height remain unchanged, but file identity and exact source color representation are not guaranteed. Retain the original.
