What this tool actually does
Apply one sepia setting to a group of up to 30 browser-decodable images selected together or dragged into the page. Processing stays in the browser, and each result is saved as a separate PNG.
Checkable behavior
Strength is a paired slider and number input from 0% to 100%, defaulting to 50%. Press Generate image after loading files or changing strength; the preview is not updated automatically.
Controls, output and limitations
A standard sepia RGB matrix computes target channels: 0.393R+0.769G+0.189B, 0.349R+0.686G+0.168B and 0.272R+0.534G+0.131B. Strength linearly blends each original channel toward that target, then canvas byte clamping is applied. Alpha is preserved.
At 0% the RGB values are unchanged; at 100% the full matrix result is used. For RGB(100, 150, 200), the full target is approximately RGB(192, 171, 134); 50% blends to approximately RGB(146, 161, 167), subject to byte rounding.
Outputs retain source dimensions and download individually as PNG files ending in -sepia.png. The tool does not restore historical photographs, repair fading, add film grain, create a ZIP, preserve metadata or preserve animation. Processing is local to the browser.
Review every preview, then click Download all. It starts separate PNG downloads about 180 ms apart; there is no ZIP or per-image download button.
Per image: ≤25 MiB and ≤24,000,000 pixels. Per batch: ≤100 MiB and ≤40,000,000 pixels. Selecting over 30 files or any invalid image rejects the whole batch.
